 Advanced/Mac/Linux Download: 5.0-321

Linux Users:

At the moment, you will have to compile your build from source. Below I will provide a couple .ini files to add to your settings (with mac users as well).

Here are some helpful links from dolphin to get you started:

Installing Dolphin

Building Dolphin

_____

Setup

You have two options to set up your Dolphin Build. You can quickly download the a preconfig file to place in dolphin yourself, or with option two, you set it up manually.

Method 1) Replacing config files

You will need to download one of these files here:

  • Melee and/or Brawl Only (No Project M): Config Download
  • All Games (Including PM): Config Download

Once downloaded, extract the enclosed folders. Depending on the OS, these folders have to be placed in the base Dolphin Emulator Folder.

Windows is usually found in Documents > Dolphin Emulator.

Mac is usually found in ~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/

Linux is usually found in User/Dolphin

Drag and drop the folders in Dolphin's folder and replace any files if prompted.

Method 2) Manually configuring

In Config > General, Make sure Enable Cheats is checked. Make sure all these settings match (Volume may be adjusted to whatever is desired):

Under Config > GameCube, disable all memory cards in slot A and B. Also, make sure all settings match:

Project M users: Select Insert SD Card and follow this Guide for further instructions: Click Here

In Graphics > General, set your backend to either OpenGL or Direct3D. This is based solely on what graphics card you have. If one doesn't work or lags more/give's you errors, toggle between the two:

Under Graphics > Enhancements make sure settings match (For optimization. You may choose whatever enhancements you like but that is solely on what your graphics card can handle):

Under Graphics > Hacks, make sure the top 3 are selected:

As for controllers, please follow the Controller Guide.
