BUFFER IS NOW 1 per 8 Ping! Each buffer now = 1/4 of a frame (comparable to the old 1/2 of a frame).
Go to Tools > Start Netplay:
On the Netplay Window, make sure the top right says Traversal (If it is Direct, click it and set to Traversal):
Click on the Host tab and select the game you wish to netplay and click Host (or double click the game):
Then Copy the code in the top right of the netplay window and share with the person you wish to netplay with:
When your partner joins, you need to adjust the buffer depending on the ping between you and your partner.
The best rule of thumb to setting the pad buffer:
1 buffer per 8 ms and round up to nearest even number (1 Pad Buffer = 1/4 frame of lag)
For this example, the Ping was 58 between us. The buffer here would be: 58/8 = 7.25 so we rounded up to 8 buffer.
In the Netplay window, click on the connect tab and input the Host Code that the host will generate for you. Once finished, click connect. The host will then decide when to start the Emulation:
And that's that!
