Located in Pensacola, FL. New to the competitive scene and looking to improve my gameplay. The smash community pulled me out of my severe depression I’ve been suffering with for over 10 years. This being my first smash game and the game being out for 3 years, I have a lot to catch up on. Due to severe social anxiety, I haven’t felt confident enough to attend my weekly local so I spend most of my time in training mode and playing CPUs. I’ve also been having trouble adapting to the input delay during online play and so I’ve actively avoided playing quick play. From my personal experience hosting a room seems to help a lot of network stability and avoid jank rulesets which make quick play unbearable to grind out even with a LAN adapter. I have some in person PvP experience against a few of my friends that live nearby and some even have competitive experience and attend our locals. I rarely take a game off of them since they’ve played since Melee, but every time I invite them over for a Smash night I find myself closing the skill gap and improving. My overall Smash goals are to be the best of my friends or go even, then eventually build the confidence to go to my weekly local. I have no desire to enter bracket as of right now but who knows what the future holds. I’m looking for newer to mid level players around my skill level for regular PvP practice or players willing to go all out regardless of my skill level and showcase cool tech while I get my ass kicked. The most fun I have in this game is watching character specialists show off the cool tech they’ve developed in the lab. Losing doesn’t tilt me but fuel the fire to improve and be the best of my friend group.
