"i went to the md/va invitational just to entertain the idea of a.... md/va invitational. i just wanted to get it over with. i didn't want to compete. it just gives people an opportunity to fight me and beat me, rather than me showcasing that i'm top-10, or me getting an opportunity to beat them, because based on the MIOM rankings i'm better than them objectively. i didn't really my hardest to beat all these guys. i wanted to win but i didn't go out of my way to win. i didn't mentally prepare or practice really hard."
