The Floor is Green #3 Summary
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo.......... wow! https://youtu.be/mvOfBsZp9wc?t=63
I played so well I surprised myself. 6 sets, won half of them. While I'm happy with being able to return that way, I know that there's a long road to being able to surpass my past self and beyond. Even so a local like this is a perfect place to grind.
From what I can remember:
Set 1 (Ganon): I know I would get thrashed by a better player, but I just played really safe and watched for them to make mistakes to take advantage of. That's the only way I know how to take care of Ganon (for now).
Set 2 (Fox): Started good, ended bad. Lost composure a bit. Need to practice against Fox to get a hang of the tempo.
Set 3 (Fox/Puff): This guy was simply beyond me in every way. Need to work my way up to this level. Unsurprised he won the whole thing.
Set 4 (Marth/Fox): Something set me off in this set, unhappy I lost, but everyone who watched said it was the set to watch of the night. Got some compliments. Ego Status: I N F L A T E D.
Set 5 (Fox): He was good but not nearly as quick as the Fox in Set 4. I made a couple small screw ups, but pretty much ended this set quickly.
Set 6 (Marth): Very obvious what he's trying to do, only approaches with dash grab (no not JC grab), fair and nair. Just space it out, punish, rinse repeat. I heard he's new so it kinda makes sense.
I've already lined up some local players to grind with and I'll begin picking up all the missing pieces to create the picture of what to do next. Until I have something new I'll shut up and play some more Melee.
