As of now only few people know who I am, and I feel completely alone in this area (Because I'm the only person in this town who plays Smash). I am originally from Georgia. I moved here from Washington, on a little island called Whidbey, where I've lived for 4 years. I started playing Melee on my first deployment. I can honestly say that I was playing on a poverty setup. Just my old Wii that I hombrewed before we left out to the middle east (it was hot as fuck) and the flatscreen tv that was in my room during deployment and the Melee disc I found back home. Lag and all I grinded out techskill after my 12hr days at work.
My first deployment was a dark time so I'd like to keep the time I think about it short. Melee seriously saved my life. From the time I got here I've been to very few tournaments. Even if I requested to be transferred here for the sole reason of playing this game I love so much. I just simply have too much work and Lemoore is in the purgatory that is the Central Valley of California, meaning I'll at least have to drive 3+ hours depending on where the venue. On top of the many times I have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn 5AM and drive into the office.
Oh yeah, and it smells like shit here. Despite this I'll admit I've been lacking and procrastinating. I've made a promise to myself, so being so lame and not going to tournaments is not an option anymore if there's one I'm gonna try my hardest to go. I might even make friends, which I have only made one since making it here. I don't use this name in bracket so if you meet a Falco player with a green De La Soul hat that's me.
