What does it mean to "git gud" at a game?
Would it be playing the game until you can't feel your fingers and your eyes are red?
Would it be studying every in and out of how the game works?
Would it be mindlessly learning sequences?
Would it be just simply keeping the rights mindset?
Would it be having the right connects to play with strong players who can teach you the game and explicitly tell you why you're wrong?
Would it be studying footage for hours on end until you fall asleep?
Would it be putting yourself in certain situations on purpose to experiment?
I'd assume its probably some random mixture of these and there's probably more I'm missing. I've been playing nearly 3 years and I feel like I've made no progress. I don't know what happened on my road to improvement but it seems like I'm not getting anywhere. Too many screw ups, too many missed opportunities, too many bad option selects. As of now, I'm really lost, and I can't really think of what I need to do to get better anymore. I know everyone has times when they are disappointed/angry at their performance but it's been such a consistent issue that I fear I can't reach my aspirations. Why am I posting this here? I don't know I just need to vent my thoughts, even if this comes back to bite me in my ass at some point. As of now I'm going to keep posting my thoughts and keep playing. I'll call it a progress report (to myself). That's not weird right? (I hope not)
