I am so sick of Mario Mains getting mad at Mega Man Mains for how we play. Let me explain it this way, there are basically 3 types of ways Mario plays against a skilled MM. 1 they cape EVERYTHING. or 2 they spam fireballs. or 3 they do 1 AND 2 and throw in grab combos every chance they get. AND THAT IS FINE. Now here is what you need to understand Mario mains: MEGA MAN'S ONLY OPTION IS TO THROW SOMETHING AT YOU. Repeat that last sentence until it sinks in. down tilt (which is a crummy move in most cases), up tilt which is great but obviously situational, Bair, Fair, and Dsmash and Usmash which have lag on both ends are the only moves that cannot be CAPED by Mario. So guess what that means guys. If you cape EVERYTHING.....that means its going to be a very one dimensional match. And here's why.

If I see a Mario capes a lot, that means he is going to get lemon pellets out the ying yang. U see, I don't care if you cape the first lemon, because the 2nd lemon will cancel that, and the 3rd lemon will hit you b4 u can cape again. I cant use metal blade as often, nor leaf shield, nor crash bombs......so lemons it is. But that is not because I AM SPAMMING, it's because YOUR style of play is so shallow that the only way that you know how to deal with projectiles is to reflect them. Learn to jump. Learn to spot dodge. Learn to catch. Learn to perfect shield. Mario is much much MUCH faster with his smashes and jabs. Mario can apply so much pressure it's not funny.

Oh yeah, the fireball spammers. Guess what folks. Lemons are the only way to combat those too. Mega Man cant jump over each fireball without getting caught. And shielding is just an open invitation for a grab combo string. The leaf shield is really the best option here, but it is too slow to use against a spammer.

So in conclusion, I WOULD LOVE to be able to use all of my MM skills against every opponent. But, when you reflect and spam you HAVE to get lemons. I'm sorry, but you are bringing lemons on yourself, so learn to make lemonade.
