Sticks, Snakes, Magnets, and Love (A Lucas guide sorta)

Alrighty, today I'm gonna share some knowledge for all you fellow Lucas mains out there, or people looking to pick him up.

 

     Lucas is floaty, especially after his second jump, I find. He's middleweight. 

Very punish-based. Has trouble approaching (he's a shy boi). Has many followups,

mainly after d-throw.

     You can play him however you want, but I find it best to be semi-defensive. Try to keep your opponent away with PK Fire and

z-air, and punish when they get too close. Preferably with a grab.

     You want to look for an opportunity to grab. You need to be careful with your grabs, however. Lucas' grab is probably

the shortest and easiest to punish tether-grab in the game. Once you do get a grab, d-throw is for combos/followups,

the rest are kill throws.

     Follow up d-throw with pretty much whichever aerial you want. Easiest is n-air, and it can chain into itself for some

good damage. D-throw to d-air is a good mixup. D-throw can set up u-air to kill (true combo, bro), but you have to read your 

opponent's DI. Experiment with d-throw during training or sparring sessions to see what works.

     Jab is fast and deals 8% of damage if you get all 3 hits. F-tilt is mainly used as a "get off me" sort of attack.

U-tilt can combo out of n-air and d-throw at early percents and is good to pop your opponent up with. D-tilt puts
